The shortcut to the best new grad nurse jobs
Transitioning from a nursing student to a practicing nurse on a new grad nurse job can be an exciting but overwhelming experience. White Glove Community Care offers a comprehensive, one-week nurse externships program, free for the next month, to help New-Grad Nurses develop relevant clinical skills, gain exposure to real-world scenarios, and build confidence for their future nursing careers. Upon completing the program, dedicated White Glove Career Specialists match students with great new grad nursing positions.
A professional instructor provides comprehensive 2-day training and overview in class on how to care for intensive patients requiring ventilator support, suctioning, trach care, and gastronomy tubes. The training will cover nursing protocols, interventions, best practices, guidelines, agency policies, and procedures. Additionally, the course will offer hands-on training to enhance technical skills.
Nurses are paired with an experienced nursing supervisor who provides hands-on guidance and support while working with White Glove Homecare patients. This mentorship is a critical part of the student nurse externship, offering new nurses teaching, coaching, and assistance in integrating clinical and professional practice on actual patients.
Homecare jobs are the best nursing jobs for new grads because you learn hands-on in a one-on-one setting. You can gain diverse ICU-level experience in a relaxed environment with the appropriate support you need. Home care offers a lower-intensity, one-on-one environment, making it a great transition into nursing. Additionally, most hospital positions require 1-2 years of experience, so home care is the perfect place to gain experience at a slower pace. We have hundreds of White Glove Community Care patients throughout New York, New Jersey, and Florida. We consider all your preferences and match you to a case that aligns with the acuity level you are ready for. It’s normal to feel apprehensive before starting out; after all, it’s so different learning than performing the actual care. But no worries, a clinical case manager is available to guide you with any clinical questions.
