Free PCA training: Care for a loved one and get paid

Receiving care at home can make all the difference. There’s comfort in familiar surroundings—and even more comfort when care is provided by someone you already trust. At White Glove Community Care, we believe home care should feel personal, empowering, and accessible. We are excited to introduce our new one-day, free training program that enables a family member, friend, or neighbor to become a certified Personal Care Aide (PCA)—and get paid for providing care.

Care From Someone You Know and Trust

Many individuals prefer to receive care from someone they already know rather than a stranger. Whether it’s a relative or friend, having a familiar caregiver can bring peace of mind, comfort, and consistency.

White Glove Community Care makes this possible by training your chosen caregiver through our one-day PCA certification program and by enabling a loved one to provide professional-level care while maintaining the warmth and familiarity of home.

How the Program Works

This program is built around one simple idea: If a patient receives care through White Glove Community Care, a trusted person in their life may qualify for free PCA training.

Here’s how it comes together:

  • A patient enrolls to receive home care services with White Glove Community Care
  • The patient identifies a dedicated individual they would like as their caregiver
  • That individual becomes eligible for free, one-day PCA training
  • After completing training, the caregiver is eligible for paid caregiving

What Is PCA Training?

PCA (Personal Care Aide) training prepares caregivers to support patients with daily living activities such as personal care, mobility assistance, meal preparation, and companionship.

Our training focuses on:

  • Safe, hands-on caregiving skills
  • Professional standards for home care
  • Confidence and preparedness in real home settings

The goal is to help caregivers feel capable, supported, and ready from day one.

One-Day, Free PCA Training

Our PCA training is completed in just one day and is offered at no cost to eligible participants. There is no training fee, and experienced professionals provide all instruction.

After completing the program, participants receive a PCA training certificate, enabling them to advance as certified caregivers within the White Glove Community Care network.

Who Can Be the Caregiver?

This program is designed to be inclusive and accessible. Most individuals may qualify to become the caregiver, including friends, extended family members, or other reliable people chosen by the patient.

Who cannot be a caregiver:

  • Child
  • Spouse
  • Parents
  • Daughter-in-law/son-in-law

Outside of these exclusions, eligibility is broad, and our team is happy to review individual situations.

Why Families Choose This Program

Families choose this program because it offers:

  • Care from someone the patient is already comfortable with
  • Professional training at no cost
  • A clear path to paid caregiving with great pay and benefits
  • Support from an established home care organization
