The hidden heroes in our community are our very own caregivers. Our Home Health Aides lead an important role in taking care of those who are most vulnerable. Most of these individuals are the elderly who either have no family or have no relatives able to take care of them. White Glove Community Care would like to congratulate our very own caregiver, Shaneequa C. for receiving the Caregiver of the Year 2019 award from Elderserve.

Through this pandemic, Shaneequa has shown us what it means to be a true caregiver. She has shown up to work every day to be by her patient’s side where she is needed the most. Her patient’s family is very thankful and have said nothing but good things about the way their mother is taken care of by Shaneequa.

Shannequa knows what it takes to care for people as she has been a caregiver for the past 6 years and says she really enjoys her job. When she is not caring for her patient, she is home caring for her two-year-old daughter whom she loves spending time with during her days off. With a heart of gold, Shaneequa exemplifies what it means to be a remarkable human being with motherly instincts that allows her to provide the best quality care for her patient the way she cares for her own.

Speaking with her, you can hear how much being a caregiver means to her. Shaneequa works full time Mondays to Fridays with White Glove Community Care and says she loves working for us because we offer her flexibility and the convenience of a short commute time to get to her patient. She enjoys sharing stories and laughs with her patient, which gives her something to look forward to everyday.
